1. Commencement And Commissioning Set For Dec. 15-16

College Station and Galveston campus students will receive diplomas across three ceremonies. The Texas A&M School of Law will hold its commencement ceremony Dec. 8.

2. McGinnis Named Chief Risk/Compliance Officer

Kevin McGinnis, who served as the executive director of risk management and employee benefits for The Texas A&M University System, has been named Chief Risk/Compliance Officer at Texas A&M and will be a part of President Michael K. Young’s executive cabinet.

3. University Community Holiday Celebration Dec. 7

Texas A&M University President Michael K. Young invites the university community to a holiday celebration Thursday, Dec. 7 from 3-5 p.m. in the Bethancourt Ballroom of the Memorial Student Center. RSVP by Nov. 30.

4. Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar To Deliver Lecture

Ayanna Thompson, professor of English at George Washington University, will deliver a presentation, “Shakespeare, Race, and Performance: What We Still Don’t Know,” on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 2300D in the Memorial Student Center on the campus of Texas A&M University.

5. Final Paper Frenzy Dec. 3-4

Final Paper Frenzy is the University Writing Center’s writing retreat for undergraduates. If you need help staying motivated to finish your final papers, the Writing Center invites you to sign up for a one- to four-hour block of time.
