Threat Of Icy Roads Causes 2-Hour Delay For Texas A&M Campus Opening On Tuesday

COVID-19 testing sites will open after 10 a.m.

Texas A&M University will operate Tuesday, Jan. 12 on a two-hour delay with a 10 a.m. start after meteorologists predicted ice to form on Brazos County roadways overnight.

The directive is for nonessential employees. Employees with questions about their status as essential vs. nonessential and employees at university sites outside of Brazos County should consult their respective leadership for guidance.

University bus service will start at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Outdoor COVID-19 testing at Fan Field is canceled for Tuesday, however, other sites remain open after 10 a.m. Individuals scheduled to take a test prior to 10 a.m. at indoor sites may proceed to their appointment at 10 a.m. Before going to test, consult the updated testing locations site.

Mini-mester courses scheduled before 10 a.m. Tuesday are canceled or will meet remotely at the discretion of faculty members.
