Topics addressed include alternate work locations and diversity.

The University Staff Council (USC) held a virtual campus-wide panel on March 4 with interim campus leaders as panelists.

Texas A&M University staff were invited to submit questions to John Junkins, interim university president, Mark Weichold, interim provost, and Annie McGowan, interim vice president and associate provost for diversity.

During the two-hour panel, questions and topics ranged from alternate work location updates to diversity efforts on campus. The panel was recorded and can be viewed on the USC website.

Responses to follow-up questions not addressed at the forum can also be viewed online.

The USC represents the interests of more than 10,000 staff at Texas A&M in communicating with administrators, identifying and addressing issues that impact staff, making recommendations to the university president, and interacting with other organizations. The council is charged with arranging at least one annual forum for staff to engage with leadership.

Based on the recent forum feedback, the council will work to offer at least one additional forum this year. More information will be available in the monthly USC newsletter.
