Winston Churchill’s Granddaughter To Speak At Texas A&M

Celia Sandys will share insights into Churchill’s leadership style during a Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs lecture.

The granddaughter of former British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill will deliver a lecture on the Texas A&M University campus on Monday, Oct. 28.

Celia Sandys will discuss Churchill’s leadership style and influence in “The Power of Words: The Inspiring Leadership of Winston Churchill.” Sign-in begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the lecture at 6 p.m. at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center.

The event is hosted by the Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service. The lecture is free and open to the public. RSVP is required to attend.

Sandys is the daughter of Churchill’s eldest child, Diana, and Cabinet Minister Duncan Sandys. She is an internationally acclaimed author, journalist, television presenter and speaker. She has published five books on various aspects of Churchill’s life.
