The Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC) is moving to the Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University.

Previously housed at Cleveland State University, NACC will soon move to the Bush School following a proposal by Dr. Will Brown, professor and director of the Center for Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Bush School.

“NACC is the international association that supports nonprofit education programs in higher education,” Brown said. “ Texas A&M is thrilled to work with NACC to build and strengthen nonprofit management education across the country and around the world. We anticipate a strong partnership that will build both the Center for Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Bush School and NACC.”

The Center for Nonprofits and Philanthropy is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations through education, research, and outreach. The move will serve as a way for both organizations to grow side by side through the ability to share resources and expertise.

NACC President Matt Hale is equally excited about the move.

“The proposal from Will Brown at the Center for Nonprofits & Philanthropy at the Bush School of Government and Public Service stood out for its comprehensiveness and clear commitment to the nonprofit/philanthropy enterprise,” Hale said in a statement on NACC’s website.

NACC is dedicated to the promotion and networking of centers that provide research and education in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. It supports these academic centers by providing leadership to existing centers; serving as a resource for sharing best practices; fostering collaboration among programs and centers; and advancing universities’ missions of teaching, research, and service through nonprofit studies.
