corps with American flagThe Texas A&M Veteran Resource and Support Center is recognizing three College of Liberal Arts staff and faculty members for their contributions to the university’s veteran-friendly campus.

This recognition is coordinated by the Veteran Resource and Support Center’s new Faculty, Staff & Advisor Veteran Support Recognition Program which allows graduating veteran students to identify certain faculty or staff members who “helped them the most.” Staff member Robyn Konrad and faculty members Jennifer Jones Barbour and Jay Schumacher were among those noted for going the extra mile.

“It’s easy to overlook all of the small things that any one individual does on a daily basis, let alone throughout the year,” said Robert Rubio, sophomore student veteran. “We can’t pay back what the professors and staff provide, especially to non-traditional students and student veterans, but this is the best way we can show our appreciation.”
