ConocoPhillips Gives $525,000 To Support Texas A&M University

Houston-based ConocoPhillips presented a check for $525,000 to benefit Texas A&M University’s Dwight Look College of Engineering, the College of Geosciences and Mays Business School.

conoco phillips 66Houston-based ConocoPhillips presented a check for $525,000 to the Texas A&M Foundation on Thursday to benefit academic programs, student activities, undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships in Texas A&M University’s Dwight Look College of Engineering, the College of Geosciences and Mays Business School.

“ConocoPhillips is proud to continue our support to Texas A&M University,” said Bill Bullock, vice president of corporate planning and development for the company and a 1986 graduate of Texas A&M. “The university has consistently provided us with exceptional graduates who have made significant contributions through the years to the success of ConocoPhillips around the globe.”

ConocoPhillips has been a major supporter of Texas A&M for the past 48 consecutive years. The company’s name is listed on the south wall of the Jon L. Hagler Center, headquarters for the Texas A&M Foundation. That wall is reserved for individuals and corporations who have given $5 million or more to support Texas A&M.

“ConocoPhillips is one of Texas A&M’s most loyal, longtime partners,” said Ed Davis, president of the Texas A&M Foundation. “Its focus on investing in new technology to advance production is philosophically similar to what we do here at Texas A&M, and our shared commitment to educating the brightest young people is the best investment we can make to ensure the success of our economy and therefore our state, nation and world.”

ConocoPhillips explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas and bitumen on a worldwide basis. The company has operations and activities in 30 countries and employs approximately 16,900 people.
