The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and KBTX-TV will host the award-winning KWTX News 10 documentary “We Can’t Forget: Vietnam” Feb. 9. The screening will be followed by a Vietnam panel discussion featuring General Barry McCaffrey, Lt. Gen. Paul Funk, and renowned photojournalist David Burnett.
The open-to-the public program is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center at Texas A&M University.
Veteran KWTX-TX producers, photojournalists and editors Jim Peeler and Don Smith spent months gathering the stories for their award-winning documentary.
From a perspective of five decades, the veterans they interviewed spoke candidly and frankly, some for the first time, about their experiences both during and after the conflict, noted the producers of the documentary, adding that the veterans’ raw, unvarnished memories reveal just how deeply the experience affected them.
