John E. Bethancourt, a 1974 petroleum engineering graduate of Texas A&M University and executive vice president for Chevron Corporation, has been appointed to the Texas A&M Foundation Board of Trustees.

Matthew C. Poling ‘90 has given a $25,000 gift to the Texas A&M Foundation. His gift will establish the Carlton Frank Poling, Lance Corporal USMC Memorial Sul Ross Scholarship.
Martín Torrijos Espino, president of the Republic of Panama and a 1987 Texas A&M graduate, has been selected as the recipient of the 2007 Texas A&M University Outstanding International Alumnus Award.
James Randel “Randy” Matson, a 1967 Texas A&M University graduate, long-time fundraiser and Olympic gold medalist, will retire from the Texas A&M Foundation.
