How To Vote In The 2024 Primary Election
Information from Brazos County and Texas election offices will help ensure you have all you need to vote in Texas’ 2024 primaries.
Am I Eligible To Vote?
The deadline to register to vote was Feb. 5. Check to see if you’re registered on the Texas Secretary of State website.
When Can I Vote?
- Early voting runs Monday, Feb. 26-Friday, March 1, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Election Day is March 5.
Where Can I Vote?
If you are voting early, you may vote at any polling place that is designated for early voting; in Brazos County there are five. On Election Day, you may vote at any of the 28 voting centers in the county.

Can I Vote By Mail?
You are allowed to vote by mail if:
- You will be 65 or older by Election Day.
- You will not be in your county for the entire span of voting, including early voting.
- You cite a sickness or disability that prevents you from voting in person without needing personal assistance or without the likelihood of injuring your health.
- You’re expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day.
- You are confined in jail but otherwise eligible (i.e. not convicted of a felony).
The last day to receive an application for ballot by mail was Feb 23. Check to see if you’re registered to vote by mail on the Texas Secretary of State website.
