Bubly Releases Custom Can For Aggies With ‘Howdy!’ Tab

The promotion includes an AR experience and giveaways including exclusive "You Had Me At Howdy!" T-shirts.

Texas A&M University has partnered with PepsiCo to bring a special can of cherry-flavored Bubly to Texas and Oklahoma, featuring the Aggies’ official campus greeting “Howdy!” on the can’s tab.

Aggies fans can follow @TAMUbrand for Bubly giveaways throughout the semester including T-shirts with the slogan “You had me at Howdy!”

The Howdy! Bubly promotion features sandwich boards and digital signs around campus where Aggies can scan a QR code for a special augmented reality (AR) experience using an Instagram filter. The filter can be also unlocked on Texas A&M’s Instagram.

“PepsiCo is a longtime partner of Texas A&M University, and for years we have collaborated with this great company to provide immersive in-person brand experiences,” said Texas A&M Director of Events and Brand Experience Tierra Graves. “From SXSW in Austin, TX to the BBQ Genius Presented by Pepsi in the Fan Zone, we’ve found unique ways to engage with fans of both brands. Although we were faced with the challenges of the pandemic, this year couldn’t be any different. We just had to take a different approach and offer the experience virtually.”

Bubly is PepsiCo’s unsweetened sparkling water with no calories or sweeteners. The Howdy! tab is available on all 16 oz. cans and 12 oz. eight packs of Bubly Cherry across Texas and Oklahoma for a limited time.
