College Station ranks ninth in a list of the least-stressed cities in America compiled by personal finance website SmartAsset.

The website compiled its list of 474 U.S. cities using metrics including average hours worked per week, average commute time, housing costs as a percentage of income, average hours of sleep per night, and divorce, bankruptcy and unemployment rates. Home to the Texas A&M University flagship campus, College Station landed the No. 9 spot with the help of “extremely low” bankruptcy and divorce rates.

According to the website, which used data primarily from the U.S. Census Bureau and various other sources, College Station’s 4.47 percent divorce rate and .04 percent bankruptcy rate ranked were the first- and second-lowest, respectively, among the 474 cities that were analyzed.
