KAMU-FM To Air New Locally Produced Diversity-Oriented Program, Beginning Wednesday

Hosted by Dr. George Cunningham, the show will focus on diversity and inclusion in the sport and physical activity context and beyond.

“Understanding our Differences,” a new module program, debuts on KAMU-FM Wednesday (Nov. 2) at 8:18 a.m. Hosted by Dr. George Cunningham, professor and associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University, the show will focus on diversity and inclusion in the sport and physical activity context and beyond.

Diversity and inclusion represent some of the most important topics in society today, note KAMU officials, pointing out their importance is observed in news, laws, university and corporate missions, and sport and physical activity, among other settings.

Topics to be discussed during “Understanding our Differences” programs are the influence of race and personnel decisions, ways in which diversity and inclusion contribute to organizational success and the influence of inclusiveness on the well-being of adolescents.

KAMU-FM is at 90.9 FM on the radio dial.
