More than 250 high-achieving high school students are attending Texas A&M’s National Scholars Invitational this summer.

The Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit won the 2015 Military College Combat Shooting Championship.

Michael J. Benedik has been named as Texas A&M University’s vice provost, effective July 1.

He was the first Heisman Trophy winner in Texas A&M history and the only Heisman Trophy winner in Coach Bryant’s illustrious career.

This university has true global relevance and we couldn’t be happier to be here in the center of the action with these amazing students and the community that supports them.

According to 16-year-old Noel Jett, who graduated this month from Texas A&M, although such situations are quirky, the profoundly gifted often struggle emotionally and she hopes to devote her professional life to helping them.

Since the inception of the award in 1962, only 249 of Texas A&M’s 425,000 former students have been recognized with the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Eight commencement exercises will be conducted on the main campus during a four-day span.
