Texas A&M University’s Department of Global Engagement will host its annual Global Welcome Party on Aug. 23 from 7-10 p.m. in Aggie Park. This free event, organized by International Student and Scholar Services, aims to welcome and celebrate the international community in Aggieland.

Attendees can expect music, games, dancing, prizes, performances and food. Various organizations will also be on hand to share campus and community resources.

“We’re so thrilled for the opportunity to put on this year’s Global Welcome Party,” said Samantha Clement, director of International Student and Scholar Services. “This event is a tremendous way to celebrate our international community and the phenomenal resources available for them here at Texas A&M.”

Highlights of the event will include a live Yell Practice with the Texas A&M Yell Leaders and an address by President Mark A. Welsh III.

Other performers making an appearance at the Global Welcome Party include Texas A&M Singing Cadets, Lil’ Wranglers, and much more.  During the event, there will also be opportunities to win prizes, grab free promotional items and explore various free food selections, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Those interested in attending should pre-register in advance or follow Global Engagement on social media for more details surrounding the event.
