Texas A&M Names 2022 Student Employees Of The Year

Each year, Texas A&M University joins colleges and universities across the country in recognizing the importance of the student employment experience during National Student Employment Week.  During this week-long celebration, which was held April 10-16, Texas A&M named a Campus and a Community Student Employee of the Year, as well as two recipients of the Class of 1956 Student Employee Endowed Award.

Meghan Johns of College Station was honored as the 2022 Texas A&M Campus Student Employee of the Year. Johns serves as a student assistant in the Mays Business School Graduate Programs Office, where she helps with program promotion and managing office databases.

Emily Denton of Burnet, Texas, was recognized as the 2022 Texas A&M Community Student Employee of the Year. Denton is an e-commerce student assistant for the Texas A&M AgriLife Digital Education team. Through her position she maintains and improves the agency’s e-commerce systems.

Johns and Denton will each receive a scholarship from The Association of Former Students.

Denton and Brooke Elledge were named recipients of the Class of ’56 Student Employee Endowed Award. On their 50th anniversary, the Texas A&M Class of 1956 established this award to recognize and celebrate student excellence.

Elledge, of League City, Texas, serves as the head of the student administrative team and database manager at the Mays Innovation Research Center. In addition to handling customer relationship management software and website development, she also manages a team of three remote workers.
