Texas A&M To Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Celebrations for National Hispanic Heritage Month will begin at Texas A&M University Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. Coordinated by the Hispanic Presidents’ Council (HPC), Hispanic Heritage Month will feature numerous events and performances that celebrate the history, achievements and culture of the Latino/a/x community.

The month-long celebration will begin with an official kickoff at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 15, in MSC 2300C. Tamara Cuellar Garza ’02 will serve as keynote speaker. Cuellar Garza serves as the marketing strategy coordinator for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and also serves as a campus liaison for the Texas A&M Hispanic Network.
