The Warehouse At C.C. Creations Receives Guinness World Records Title

College Station retail store The Warehouse at C.C. Creations has been awarded the Guinness World Records title for the “Largest Collegiate Merchandise Store” in the world with a confirmed measurement of 28,750 sq. ft.

The Warehouse celebrated the win Friday at a ceremony at the store located on Holleman Drive with a series of guest speakers, including the mayors of Bryan and College Station, members of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and school mascot Reveille, as well as Kenny Lawson, CEO of C.C. Creations.

“It is a great feeling and I know our retail team is extremely proud to be a part of it,” Lawson said. “Not too many people can say they are part of a Guinness World Record.”

This was the first attempt at a record, Lawson said, noting the idea came about as a result of the tagline, “Over 20,000 sq. ft. of the largest selection of Aggie merchandise anywhere!”

“So we thought ‘We probably really are the largest collegiate store in existence,” Lawson said. “From there, we started the process with Guinness to prove it and obtain the official title.”

Shane Hinckley, Texas A&M vice president of brand development, offered his congratulations saying, “Kenny and the entire staff at C.C. Creations should be proud of this incredible world record. Over the years, their team has worked hard to create a one-of-a-kind retail experience and turned The Warehouse into a shopping destination for all Aggies fans.”

Lawson said it’s humbling to think back to how the business began in 1993, “with two little tables selling Texas A&M Cotton Bowl leftover sweatshirts. Now 28 years later we have 28,750 square-foot store with more than 156,000 store transactions in one year. I would put our retail team and leadership up against anyone – they are the difference maker.”

The Warehouse at C.C. Creations opened in 2010, following the popularity of the Original C.C. Creations Tent Sale. The retail store offers thousands of products from drinkware and home décor to headwear and T-shirts. All items are also available to be purchased online at www.thewarehouseatcc.com.

Since 2016, C.C. Creations has also ranked the number one licensee and number one retailer of Texas A&M-licensed products in the world. Lawson said the world record title is a symbol of the years of hard work and dedication to make the store what it is today.
