COVID-19 Testing Urged For Texas A&M Community This Week
Pre-registration is encouraged for the five free COVID-19 testing sites open on the Texas A&M University campus this week. Students, faculty and staff are asked to log on to the appropriate link: students and faculty/staff.
Anyone off campus who is not affiliated with Texas A&M can get tested at one of the three campus kiosks or the mobile testing van. They are asked to pre-register online.
Texas A&M Rec Center, 187 Corrington Dr., Courts 5 & 6. Rec Center membership not required.
Results guaranteed before Thanksgiving and those who complete the test receive a free T-shirt.
Organizers said this site has short lines that move quickly.
- Monday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Must be affiliated with Texas A&M and be at least 18 years old.
Please use entrance on the South side next to ball field. Free parking is available in designated spaces at the South entrance.
This test involves providing a saliva sample and takes less than five minutes; the entire process including registration takes less than 10 minutes.
Maroon/Blue Kiosks
A&M faculty, students and staff can get tested at walk-up Curative kiosks by scheduling through the Texas A&M Curative scheduling site.
Open to the public; must make appointment.

Monday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This test involves providing a mouth swab.
Curative is a private laboratory that provides results directly to you, usually within 48 hours. Other locations outside Bryan-College Station where Curative offers its test can be found here.

Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A.P. Beutel Health Center: There will be no testing this week at the tent outside of the clinic. However, if you are sick or think you might have COVID-19, please schedule a healthcare visit with Beutel.
Should I travel?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is encouraging anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 not to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday. Instead, you should stay away from others for at least 10 days (or 24 hours after your symptoms are gone without medication — whichever is longer).
For those who have been around someone who has tested positive for the virus within the last 14 days, experts suggest quarantining for 14 days even if you haven’t tested positive. The virus needs time to grow and might not have developed.
Regardless of where a person has been or who they’ve been around, experts suggest everyone wear a mask and stay at least six feet away from others.
