Howdy Week, Aggieland’s official week of welcome, will take place Aug. 10-18. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, most Howdy Week 2020 events will be virtual, and all in-person events will have a virtual option available.

Students will be required to register for most events they want to attend using their UIN and Texas A&M University email address. There is no cost to register for events, and attendees should expect to receive an email one hour before each event with details and an access link.

Featured virtual events this year include AggieFest, Rec-A-Palooza, Ice Cream Carnival, GatheRing, MSC Aggie Tradition Bingo Night, MSC Aggie Cinema Movie Night, Class of 2024 photo and StuAct Block Party and Volunteer Opportunity Fair.

This year’s Howdy Week will also feature a virtual photo booth where students can snap a selfie from anywhere using their phone or a webcam and add fun frames to commemorate their Howdy Week experience.

A full Howdy Week schedule is available online and on the Texas A&M mobile app.

About Howdy Week

Howdy Week has been produced by the Texas A&M Office of New Student & Family Programs since its inception in 2000. It is a collaborative effort across campus and the local community to help connect Aggie students to a wide array of activities, organizations and resources to jump start their year in Aggieland.
