Texas A&M Welcomes New Associate VP For Enrollment Services

Lisa Blazer comes to Texas A&M from University of Texas-San Antonio, where she served as associate vice provost for academic innovation.

Lisa Blazer has joined Texas A&M’s Division of Enrollment and Academic Services as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services effective July 1.

As a member of the division’s leadership team, Blazer will oversee and support the Office of Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, International Student Services, the Visitor Center, the Career Center and the Office of the Registrar. She will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic enrollment management plan for the university, inclusive of recruitment, retention and graduation of students at all levels with focus on elevating the academic quality and socioeconomic diversity of enrollment.

Blazer has held positions of leadership in higher education in the areas of financial aid, enrollment management and student affairs. She most recently served as senior associate vice provost for academic innovation at the University of Texas-San Antonio, leading a new workforce initiative and new enrollment initiatives for the downtown campus. She was also instrumental in shaping the Career in Focus initiative to support furloughed and unemployed workers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Master of Arts Administration in Organization Development from the University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance from Missouri Baptist University.
