If fans attending the Texas A&M-LSU football game last season thought they were watching one of the most entertaining games ever, they were right – the contest that the Aggies won 74-72 in seven overtimes has been nominated for an ESPY Award for Best Game.

Also nominated is Aggie track and field performer Infinite Tucker for Best Play and Best Viral Moment for his dive to the finish line in the 400-meter hurdles during the SEC championships. Tucker finished first. In the Best Play category, Tucker is nominated along with 16 other performers, and three others are nominated for Best Sports Viral Moment.

The Nov. 24 game at Kyle Field ended a wild night that featured the highest scoring game in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) history. It also marked the first time Texas A&M has defeated LSU since joining the Southeastern Conference. In Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher’s first year, the Aggies went 9-4 in 2018, which included a 52-13 win over North Carolina State in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 31.

The ESPYs will be broadcast July 10 on ESPN starting at 8 p.m. from Los Angeles.
