Texas A&M Former Student Becomes UNT’s Youngest PhD Graduate
Jett graduated from Texas A&M in 2015 as a 16-year-old.
Noel Jett, who at age 19 is set to become the youngest PhD graduate in University of North Texas history this week, earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 2015.
The Fort Worth native earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of Liberal Arts as a 16-year-old before pursuing her PhD and dissertation in educational psychology at UNT.
“Of the four schools, A&M was the most respectful, helpful and enthusiastic,” Jett told Texas A&M Today in 2015 about going through the admissions process as a 13-year-old. “Everyone I dealt with during the admissions, acceptance and enrollment process was just really nice. It was also the most affordable.”
