The Texas A&M University community of students, faculty and staff are invited to attend an open forum to hear initial reports on the Provost’s Student Success Initiative Monday, Nov. 5 at noon in the Memorial Student Center room 2400. Registration is required.
Launched in June 2018, the initiative aims to:
- Increase first-year retention of students from 92 percent of the fall 2019 entering freshmen class to 95 percent
- Increase the four-year graduation rate from 54 percent to 65 percent
- Increase the six-year graduation rate from 82 percent to 85 percent
- Reduce disparities among ethnicities, first-generation status, gender and socio-economic status
Attendees will hear recommendations from Student Success Task Force subcommittees on academic advising, first year experience, graduation help desk and special scholarship programs.
