More than 700 gamers from the Texas A&M University and Bryan-College Station communities filled the Ford Hall of Champions at Kyle Field Thursday night to take in the student-led Texas A&M Esports Experience Powered by Mountain Dew.

The first event of its kind on Texas A&M’s campus featured free-play sessions, a gaming industry panel, competitive matches on popular game titles and more than 20 corporate vendors and exhibitors.

The event spearheaded by Texas A&M sports management students was a collaboration between the College of Education & Human Development’s Division of Sport Management, the Texas A&M Esports team, Texas A&M Athletics and the Texas A&M Division of Marketing and Communications.
