President Young paid a surprise visit to a group of Fish Camp counselors who were taking photos on the steps of the Jack K. Williams Administration Building last Friday (July 27).

The counselors are in Session B, Green, Camp Sommers this week.

“We are so happy we got the chance to meet and talk to President Young and so appreciate him thanking us for all of our hard work,” said Kellie Hastings ‘21, one of the counselors and a Biomedical Sciences major. “We love what we do and it’s always nice to hear we are appreciated.”

Camp Sommers is named for Jen Sommers, community director, Residence Life.

Fish Camp 2018 will host approximately 6,500 incoming freshmen to become acquainted with college life, meet fellow students and learn about Aggie traditions.
