1. Patriarch Of Rec Sports At Texas A&M To Retire August 31

After 45 years at Texas A&M University, Recreational Sports Director Dennis Corrington will retire on August 31.

2. Sahara Dust May Make You Cough, But It’s A Storm Killer

The bad news: Dust from the Sahara Desert in Africa – totaling a staggering 2 to 9 trillion pounds worldwide – has been almost a biblical plague on Texas and much of the Southern United States in recent weeks. The good news: the same dust appears to be a severe storm killer.


3. Engineering Technology Professor Named To Prism ‘20 Under 40’ List

Dr. Malini Natarajarathinam was recently recognized by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) on its “20 under 40” list in Prism, the society’s monthly magazine.

Ceremonies will take place at Reed Arena in College Station at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
