Photo Gallery: Nearly 10,500 Aggies Receive Degrees During Spring Commencement

Texas A&M University awarded nearly 10,500 degrees during spring commencement ceremonies held across Texas and its branch campus in Qatar last week.

Among the graduates were 138 members of the Corps of Cadets in College Station who commissioned as officers in four branches of the U.S. Military. Additionally, 10 officers were commissioned and 75 midshipmen of Texas A&M Galveston’s Maritime Academy received their officer licenses for the U.S. Merchant Marine.

This spring’s ceremonies featured the highest number of bachelor’s degrees (7,710), master’s degrees (1,906), professional degrees (635) and doctoral degrees (226) for any one semester in the university’s, as well as state of Texas’, history.
