Texas A&M University and premier sports lifestyle partner ’47 are teaming up at SXSW in Austin, Texas to bring Aggie creativity and innovation to life in an immersive sensory experience at the Texas A&M x ’47 Discovery House. The experience will be hosted March 11 and 12 at the renowned Clive Bar located at 609 Davis Street (at Rainey Street) Austin, TX 78701.

The interior of Clive Bar will be transformed to represent three core areas of Texas A&M – land, sea and space – as an homage to Texas A&M’s heritage as a land-, sea-, and space-grant institution. Each area will be brought to life through animated graphics and 3D light projections.

Attendees can enjoy authentic Texan fare provided by BBQ Genius partner Stiles Switch BBQ during their journey. Visitors can recharge with complimentary coffee with the help of the Texas A&M Center for Coffee Research & Education and find opportunities to snag exclusive Texas A&M x ’47 commemorative product.

About ’47

’47 is a sports lifestyle brand founded in Boston, MA, by twin brothers, Arthur and Henry D’Angelo in 1947. The D’Angelos were entrepreneurial pioneers who were quick to see the future of sports licensing by selling pennants and other sports memorabilia on the streets around Fenway Park. Through a combination of hard work, sound instincts and incredible passion, the brothers grew their business from a single street cart to a premier sports lifestyle brand that uniquely melds sport and style. ’47 is a proud partner of MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA and over 900 collegiate programs.
