Texas A&M Information Technology Wins ‘Best Of’ Communications Awards

Texas A&M Information Technology recently received four “Best of Category” awards from the Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS). Awards included Best Short Video for Aggies Map 100 Miles of Campus Fiber, Best General Service Promotion for the State of Security Report 2016, Best Student Created Material for the Computer Lab Poster Campaign, and Best Printed How-To Guide for the “Welcome Home” Brochure.

“I am so proud of our communications team’s hard work and dedication to informing students, faculty and staff about campus IT services in a creative and professional manner,” said Vice President for Information Technology and CIO, Dee Childs. “Their efforts to provide a better campus technology experience have not gone unnoticed.”

SIGUCCS is a community of IT professionals who help higher education institutions leverage current technology to foster discovery and learning. Judging takes place every year for the SIGUCCS Communication Awards to honor the best publications, websites and promotional material produced by universities and colleges. Submissions are judged on content, effective adaptation to the medium, accessibility and W3C standards, and appealing design. Awards will be presented at the ACM SIGUCCS 2017 Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington.
