It’s a bit unusual when a parent and child order their Aggie Rings at the same time, but there is even more behind this story.

When Leanne Dyson ’12 earned the right to order her Ring more than five years ago, she had to pass up the opportunity due to pressing family obligations–in particular, family medical bills. Those medical bills were for her daughter, who required a double lung transplant.

Now fast forward to 2017, and that daughter is not only doing well, she has also joined her mom in the Aggie Network! Say howdy to Taylor Dyson ’17, who is on track to graduate in December. When Taylor came in last month to order her Aggie Ring, her mom accompanied her and ordered the Ring she had previously had to forgo.

These two proud and strong Aggie women will receive their Rings together at Aggie Ring Day in September.

Congratulations, ladies! And gig ’em!
