The Texas A&M University Singing Cadets will spread the spirit of Aggieland to the Northeastern United States during a four-day tour, with performances for a former U.S. president and British prime minister, and a televised appearance on “Fox and Friends.”

The Singing Cadets, 62 in all, kicked off their tour with a performance on the set of “Fox and Friends” in New York City Friday morning.

Saturday, they will be a part of a special concert in Kennebunkport, Maine, for former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara, and former British Prime Minister John Major.

The group will complete its tour in Boston May 21-22 with performances in the Old North Church and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library—part of a commemorative event to honor the 100th anniversary of Kennedy’s birth.

“It is a privilege to represent our prestigious university with such an exceptional group of young men,” said David Kipp, longtime director of the Singing Cadets. “Having the opportunity to showcase Texas A&M and its strong choral program on a national stage is a great honor.”

Part of the Department of Music Activities within the Division of Student Affairs, the Singing Cadets is Texas A&M’s premier student chorus for men. Through choral performances and activities, it aims to develop disciplined leaders of character and enhance the public understanding of Texas A&M. During the past 20 years, the group has performed on six continents, with more than 100 appearances during the 2016-2017 academic year.
