PROMOTION PERIOD
The contest begins at 10:00 a.m. Central Time (CT) Friday, February 17, 2017 and ends at 3:00 p.m. (CT) Friday, March 3, 2017.
ELIGIBILITY
Each entrant by participating in this contest agrees to be bound by these rules and the Division of Marketing and Communication’s decisions. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary.
The Division of Marketing & Communications staff, the Texas A&M at SXSW Project Team and members of their immediate families are excluded from participation.
TO ENTER
To enter, sign up to receive email updates with a valid email at www.sxsw.tamu.edu. Drawings will be held at 3:00 p.m. on February 17 and 24, and March 3, 2017. Any duplicate entries by the same person (regardless of email address used) will be excluded.
Texas A&M may permanently disqualify from any promotion any person that Texas A&M believes has intentionally violated these rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage this contest is unlawful and subject to legal action by Texas A&M, who may seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The failure of Texas A&M to comply with any provision of these rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of Texas A&M (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations), or other “force majeure” event will not be considered a breach of these rules.
Each entrant understands that Texas A&M has not arranged for and does not carry any insurance of any kind for entrant’s benefit and that entrant will be solely responsible for obtaining and paying for any medical, life, accident, automobile, property or other insurance relative to his or her participation in this contest.
By entering this contest, each entrant agrees to release and indemnify Texas A&M, The Texas A&M University System, and its regents, officers, employees, and students from and against any losses, damages, rights, claims and actions arising from (i) an exclusion or disqualification of the entrant pursuant to these rules; (ii) late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify potential winners of any prize; (iii) forfeiture of a prize and the selection of an alternate potential winner; (iv) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible entries; (v) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind; (vi) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; or (vii) any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from the entrant’s participation in this contest or his or her acceptance of a prize.

Four prizes of two (2) VIP Access passes to the Texas A&M House at SXSW, will be awarded, to include:

- Lodging
- Transportation
- Access to SXSW Conference & Festivals not programmed by Texas A&M
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
The Division of Marketing & Communications will select the winner for each of the four random drawings and notify the winner by email. The winner must respond by 3 p.m. (CT) the following Monday to avoid forfeiture of the prize. If a prize is unclaimed, it will be forfeited, and time permitting, an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries at Texas A&M University’s sole discretion.
Winners agree that Texas A&M may use their names and likenesses for the purpose of announcing winners through various means, including official Texas A&M social media channels.
In no event will more than four prizes be awarded. Decisions will be final and binding on all matters relating to this contest. Any questions, complaints, comments, or concerns regarding this promotion are to be directed to the Division of Marketing & Communications.
PRIVACY
Information collected from entrants is used only for the purposes of providing SXSW-related updates, prize drawing, and to notify winners, and will not be reused, sold, or shared in any manner by Texas A&M or any third parties.
