Texas A&M Celebrates 140 Years Of Fearlessness
A variety of campus events surrounding Texas A&M University’s 140th birthday celebration are planned as the Fearless On Every Front campaign roll-out continues. Week-long activities for Fearless at 140 include our 140th birthday celebration at Academic Plaza, a scavenger hunt with scholarship prizes and President Young will deliver the State of the University address.

Fearless Giving Food Drive
Promote the Aggie core value of selfless service by participating in a food drive that will benefit our internal Aggie family through 12th Can, as well as our local community through the Brazos Valley Food Bank. Departments and units who contribute to the food drive at the General Services Complex will be entered into a random drawing to win an exciting and interactive mini-conference for their department or unit, hosted by Human Resources in spring 2017. Students are also encouraged to participate at a second drop-off location in the Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center on the first floor of Rudder Tower.

State of the University Address
President Michael K. Young will deliver the State of the University Address, focusing on the pursuit of excellence in transformational education, innovation and impact. The event will be live-streamed to other campuses and available for viewing online.

Fearless In The Workplace Series: Fearless Leadership Workshop
This interactive session featuring Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness Dr. Barbara Abercrombie, provides the foundation for developing three habits of fearless leadership. The session will define fearless leadership and participants will leave with tools and tips to help them enhance their leadership skills.

Fearless At 140 Birthday Celebration
The Office of the President and Traditions Council will host a university-wide birthday celebration on Academic Plaza with events that include student performance groups, tailgate games, several giveaways and a drawing for lunch for up to eight with President Young. Birthday cake will be served.

Fearless In The Workplace Series: Fearless Inclusion
This interactive session featuring Associate Dean for Climate & Inclusion in the College of Liberal Arts Dr. Srivi Ramasubramanian, and Anne Mayer, Director of HR Employee & Organizational Development, will reflect on our university’s climate and facilitate a conversation about fearlessness in the workplace as it relates to diversity, inclusion and creating a welcoming environment for everyone.

Fearless Fitness Friday
Be fearless by taking the opportunity to conquer the rock wall, participate in or observe WELLNESS WORKS! fitness sessions, enjoy and relax in the pool, master the indoor track with a walk/run, or even take a tour around the Rec. By participating in and completing various activities, faculty and staff will be eligible to enter in our drawing to win prizes! Afterwards, come to the new outdoor Rec Plaza for “WELLgating”, tailgate-style, with tasty food, exciting games and prizes!
Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
Upon arrival at the Rec Center, attendees will be asked to check-in at the registration booth to receive an event map and a wristband to enter the facility. This event is open to Texas A&M faculty and staff at no charge; however, all attendees are asked to consider a suggested donation of $5 per participant at check-in to benefit the University Staff Council’s Staff Emergency Fund.
