Aggie Experience Council Recognizes 18 Members At Pinning Ceremony

Aggie Experience CouncilTexas A&M University President R. Bowen Loftin honored 18 members of the Aggie Experience Council at the organization’s inaugural pinning ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

To earn their pins, the students completed a series of tasks, including observing tours, giving tours, working special events and showing complete dedication to the organization.

Members of the council are carefully selected to represent the university as ambassadors at university events and more — students are chosen based on leadership abilities, exemplification of excellence, demonstration of selfless service and embodiment of the Aggie spirit. The responsibilities of AEC members include a variety of activities such as leading campus tours for prospective students, former students and other university guest; conducting private tours for VIPs and other special guests; assisting athletics in gameday and recruiting activities; hosting university-level special events; and participating in projects and programs of the Division of Marketing & Communications.

The mission of AEC, which boasts more than 50 members, is to provide university guests with the highest quality campus experience is inseparable from its mission to inform others about the academic excellence, student life, history and traditions of Texas A&M.
