Hurricane Relief Concert At Texas A&M With All Former Living U.S. Presidents

October 4, 2017

ONE AMERICA APPEAL CONCERT

The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation today announced that the five living former presidents of the United States will host a hurricane relief concert – “Deep from the Heart” – at Texas A&M’s Reed Arena on the College Station, TX campus the evening of Oct. 21. A full, 100 percent of ticket sales will benefit hurricane victims in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Former U.S. Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter will attend the concert. Musical acts will include ALABAMA, Robert Earl Keen, Lyle Lovett, Cassadee Pope, Sam Moore, Yolanda Adams, Lee Greenwood, Larry Gatlin and family, and more.

“This event was President Bush 41’s idea,” said David Jones, CEO of the Bush Library and Foundation. “What was originally scheduled to be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Bush Library and Foundation and Bush School of Government and Public Service quickly became an opportunity to raise money for hurricane relief following Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. We are pleased to offer Aggies an advance opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public.”

All five former living presidents launched the One America Appeal on Sept. 7. “We’re thrilled that this event will take place at Texas A&M, home to the Bush Library and Foundation and Bush School of Government and Public Service,” said Jim McGrath, spokesman for President and Mrs. Bush 41. “What a way to celebrate 20 years by coming together to help others.”
