Wear your pearls and crazy socks and come celebrate the birthdays of President George and Barbara Bush at the Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University on Friday (June 9) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bush, the 41st President, will turn 93 on June 12; Mrs. Bush will turn 92 on June 8.

The library and museum will offer birthday cake, Blue Bell Ice Cream, popcorn and refreshments. Special thanks to Blue Bell Creameries and Pepsi for providing refreshments.

There is no cost to participate in the festivities in the rotunda, but regular museum admission applies for the museum. President and Mrs. Bush will celebrate their birthdays with family and friends in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The library is exhibiting The Legacy of Ranching: Preserving the Past, Embracing the Future through a partnership with the Department of Animal Sciences at Texas A&M. The exhibit celebrates the historic ranches of Texas and their ability to adapt through changing natural and business environments. Recordings of oral histories, an original video narrative, hands-on educational activities, 250 artifacts and a historic chuck wagon centerpiece are all included in this exhibit, on display in the Bush Library’s Ansary Gallery of American History through Jan. 7, 2018.
