As the 2016-2017 academic year comes to a close, four Texas A&M University athletic programs that achieved conference and national championships came together at the Jack K. Williams Administration Building to be personally congratulated by President Michael K. Young.

Men’s tennis and women’s swimming and diving, winners of Southeastern Conference titles, and national champions equestrian and men’s track and field, each had sit-downs with Young and gathered in the Administration Building rotunda for a photo.

“The student-athletes who came together to earn Southeastern Conference and national championships this year made it clear that no other institution is equipped to attract and develop young people on and off the field quite like Texas A&M University,” Young said. “The entire Aggie community could not be more proud of the way women’s swimming and diving, men’s track and field, men’s tennis and equestrian represented their school on such a high level of competition. It was a pleasure to meet each of these student-athletes and congratulate them on all of their hard-earned successes.”
