After a resounding success in its first run, Texas A&M’s Staff Photo Day is poised for a return in the future, according to event organizers.

More than 1,000 participants turned out to the Saturday event after President and Mrs. Young, to show their appreciation, invited all university staff to campus to have professional photos taken near iconic locations. Multi-generational groups as large as 13, along with pets, posed by Kyle Field, the Century Tree, Academic Plaza, Military Walk and the Aggie Ring replica.

Staff Photo Day built off the momentum of an expanded Staff Appreciation Week in February and confirmed the importance of holding events that engage entire families, according to organizers. President and Mrs. Young spent the afternoon on campus sharing their deep appreciation for the hard work staff contributes to the university each day.

“It was no mystery before Saturday that Texas A&M University staff is the very best in higher education, but the sense of togetherness surrounding Staff Photo Day explains why each individual unit works so well as a team to advance this institution,” Young said. “They are truly the wheels on the bus and can never be thanked enough for their daily contributions.”

Staff members who participated in Staff Photo Day will gain access to a web archive and select one of two high-quality, retouched photographs to download within the next two weeks.
